Sony have made digital signage easy for you; all you need is a Sony LCD public display, choose a screen size 32, 40, 42 or 50-inch. Then slot a Sony BKM-FW50 digital signage board into the back of the display and you can create your own presentation stored on CompactFlash media. Sony also have Ziris digital signage software packages, both entry level and professional versions. For example, a 15" CRT monitor is actually 14", where as a 15" LCD monitor is 15" diagonal. These LCD monitors are designed to be used as normal computer monitors. Only the ones marked as having video can accept input from video recorders, DVD players and video cameras. You can play DVD movies with any monitor if your computer has a DVD drive and DVD movie player software installed.
